We are a voluntary controlled Church of England primary school in the Diocese of Chelmsford. We have established good links with All Saints Church, our next-door neighbour, which we visit to celebrate Christian festivals e.g. Harvest, Easter and Christmas.
All Saints Church is one of multiple Saint Church locations across east London. Saint’s vision is to bring hope to the people of east London and to play a part in seeing lives restored, churches revitalised, and culture renewed. https://saint.church/about/
The mission of the Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Education is to:
- Promote life in all its fullness through Education across Essex and East London.
- Support transforming presence that offers life-enhancing encounters with Jesus Christ.
- Provide schools of Christian character for the common good.
The Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Education priorities are to resource and equip schools, colleges and parishes to:
- go more deeply
- range more widely
- relate more closely
Our Religious Education curriculum is taken from Newham’s Agreed Syllabus. It is Christian based, but it also looks at other faiths ensuring that our pupils gain respect, awareness and understanding of other world religions. In the spring term, children throughout the school take part in the Visit a Place of Worship Week visiting local churches, mosques and Gurdwaras.
