It was wonderful to invite parents into school to support our children as they competed in various traditional races during Sports Day for KS1 and KS2. Each child competed in an egg and spoon, sack and sprint races with the first three places winning points for their house team – England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Key Stage 2 also had the opportunity to participate in a water relay race which involved teamwork, speed and getting a little wet in most cases!
The sense of team spirit was tremendous with all children ‘having a go’, cheered on by parents, teachers and their peers. Such fun!
